How to Create a team for Valorant Premier

If you’re a Valorant enthusiast looking to take your gaming experience to the next level, Valorant Premier is the perfect way to do it. This new competitive mode offers a tournament system for dedicated teams, serving as a path-to-pro mode. This guide will walk you through the process of signing up for Valorant Premier and provide tips on how to excel in the game so you can bring home the victory!

What is Valorant Premier?

Valorant Premier was first announced as an open beta game mode back in April 2023. This is a more competitive environment than the traditional ranked mode. It allows you to build a five-person team and compete against similarly skilled opponents. Eventually, Premier will become the entry point to professional Valorant, replacing open qualifiers for VCT Challengers events.

How to Sign Up

Signing up for Valorant Premier is a straightforward process. Here are the steps you need to follow:

  1. Account Verification: To play Premier, players must verify their accounts via SMS verification. This step is crucial to ensure the integrity of the game and maintain a fair playing environment.
  2. Team Creation: Players can either create their own team of between five and seven players or join an existing team. There are no rank restrictions for players on a team, meaning a team with players all at similar ranks or completely different ranks will be placed in a skill division based on the MMR of the top five players of a team.
  3. Enrollment Period: Prior to the start of weekly matches during a season, there will be an enrollment period for players to form teams.
Jul 11 – Jul 20, 2023 is the current enrolment period
If you miss enrollment, you cannot play during the season. New players can be added during the season, provided they do not cause the team to change skill divisions.
  4. Selecting a Region: During enrollment, teams must also select their regional zone to compete in and will be given recommendations based on the lowest average server latency.
  5. Weekly Matches: Teams will play up to weekly matches during the weekly queue window on a featured map. Queue windows are zone-specific. Teams will earn 100 points for a win, 25 for a loss, and no points if they do not play. Teams with at least 375 points earned will qualify for the tournament at the end of the season.
